PDF Converter
Free online PDF converter
Turn a PDF into the format you actually need — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPG, PNG or plain text — and turn those files back into PDF. Merging, splitting, rotating and compressing all happen inside your workspace session, so those documents never leave our secure processing layer.
What you get
200+ formats
Documents, spreadsheets, slides, images and archives, both into and out of PDF.
Private processing
Merge, split, organise, compress and protect never upload your file anywhere.
Nothing kept around
Files that do need a server are deleted on a strict 7-day maximum, and usually the moment you download.
No watermarks
Converted files come out clean, with no stamp added to the page.

Common questions
Is the PDF converter free?
Yes. Everyday conversions and the core PDF edits are free, with a daily task allowance. Paid plans raise the limits and unlock the AI and premium template tools.
Do my files get uploaded?
Merge, split, organise, compress, rotate and protect run in our secure workspace. Format conversions that need a rendering engine are processed on a server and deleted immediately after you download.
Is there a file size limit?
Free accounts handle everyday documents comfortably. Larger files and longer batches are covered by the Plus and Pro plans.
Can I sign a PDF here?
No. Layers deliberately does not offer electronic signatures. It is a document editing and collaboration workspace, not a signing service.
