Common questions

Do I need to create an account?

You can try the core tools straight away. An account unlocks saved boards, higher daily limits and the collaboration features.

Can I edit the actual text in a PDF?

You can add and overlay text, annotate and redact. Full reflowed text editing is best handled by converting to Word, editing there and converting back.

Are edited files watermarked?

No. Exports are clean on every plan.

How long are my files kept?

Browser-side edits are never stored at all. Anything that touches a server is deleted within seven days at the very most, and normally straight after download.
