What you get

Clear before and after

You always see exactly how many kilobytes you saved.

No quality cliff

Text stays selectable and sharp; only heavy resources are re-encoded.

Nothing uploaded

The document stays in our secure processing layer from start to finish.

Works on scans

Scanned documents are the biggest winners, often dropping by most of their size.

How to reduce PDF file size

  1. 1

    Drop the PDF in

Add the oversized document to the tool at the top of the page.

  2. 2

    Let Layers shrink it

Embedded images and fonts are re-encoded in our secure workspace.

  3. 3

    Check the new size

The tool shows the size before and after so you know whether you are under your limit.

  4. 4

    Split if you need more

If one pass is not enough, split the document and keep only the pages you need to send.

Common questions

Why is my PDF so large?

Almost always embedded images — especially scans and photos pasted into slides. Those are exactly what compression targets.

Will reducing the size blur my document?

Text is untouched. Images are re-encoded, so a photo-heavy page can look slightly softer at extreme reductions.

Is there a size limit?

Everything runs in our secure workspace, so large documents are fine — you are limited by our secure processing layer, not a server.

Can I reduce several PDFs at once?

Run them one after another here, or open the workspace where you can queue several files.
